Same illustrative model as the example above: fuel cost 42% lower in the first year.
Powering a Sustainable Future
Transform your mining operations with sustainable energy solutions that reduce costs and environmental impact. Our innovative BESS/PV systems and soil rejuvenation research are changing how the mining industry thinks about power.
Remote mining
Reliable Energy for Remote Mining Operations
Mining operations face energy challenges of their own, especially in remote locations where grid power is unreliable or unavailable. GoSí Energy coordinates Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and photovoltaic (PV) projects from feasibility to delivery. EPC partners design, build and install the plant, so the operation can keep running with less dependence on diesel generators.
The plants are specified for the demanding conditions of a mine: robust equipment for harsh sites, and energy-management software that allocates power to the way the operation actually runs.
Economics
The Economics of Sustainable Mining Power
Typical industry range (illustrative). This page does not cite one published study for the 60% figure.
The savings model on this site, default diesel case: 2,000 litres a day at 1.10 USD per litre.
Typical industry range (illustrative). Not a measured GoSí plant.
Less diesel and fewer generator hours are what move the bill. The 42% figure and the 3.5 to 5.4 year payback are one illustrative set. They are not a quote.
Diesel or the grid
The site buys power every day. The bill follows the fuel or the power price. A remote site depends on the next delivery.
PV + battery
Solar covers the day. The battery covers the night. Less diesel, or less power drawn from the grid.
BESS/PV
BESS/PV options for mining
Solar Power Generation
High-efficiency photovoltaic arrays designed to maximize energy capture even in challenging climates and remote locations, providing daytime power to operations and charging battery systems.
Advanced Energy Storage
Industrial-grade battery systems with sophisticated thermal management and safety features, providing stable power during peak demand and nighttime operations.
Intelligent Control Systems
Smart energy management platforms that seamlessly integrate with existing power infrastructure, optimizing energy use based on operational patterns and weather forecasts.
Two ways to own the power
Own & operate
The client buys and owns the system. EPC partners design, build and install it. GoSí coordinates the project from feasibility to delivery.
Land + PPA
The client provides the land. EPC partners design, build and install the plant, and the client buys the power under a PPA. GoSí coordinates the project.

Soil
Soil work on GoSí BioTech
GoSí BioTech is researching how mined land can return to productive use. The pilot uses C4 Pakchong grass and biochar, the same approach described on gosi.earth.
C4 Pakchong grass
Pakchong 1, a published super-napier, is the grass in the pilot. It is grown on mined ground to build a plant cover and a biomass harvest.
Biochar
Part of the harvest can be turned into biochar and returned to the soil. That stream is described with the pilot figures on gosi.earth.
BioCNG and digestate
The rest of the harvest is the digester case: BioCNG, and digestate spread back on the land. Those figures are labelled on gosi.earth.
Lifecycle
Complete Lifecycle Sustainability
GoSí Energy looks at a mine from the power supply through to land restoration with GoSí BioTech. The two lines sit side by side.
A BESS/PV plant, designed and built by EPC partners, is the power line while a mine is operating. GoSí BioTech's research is the land line after operations. GoSí coordinates both conversations.
Power and land are the two lines a mining company can talk to GoSí about.
Who we are
Who We Are: Energy Innovators
GoSí Energy coordinates projects from feasibility to delivery. EPC partners design, build and install the plant. The team comes from mining and from renewable energy, and the work is to fit a project to the way a mine already runs.
Our name combines "Go" (representing forward momentum) and "Sí" (Spanish for "yes"), reflecting our positive approach to solving energy challenges and our commitment to making sustainable mining not just possible, but profitable.
The team speaks the language of the operation and of the plant. GoSí coordinates the project. The design, the build and the installation stay with the EPC partners.
Implementation
Implementation Process: Seamless Integration
Site assessment
GoSí coordinates a site assessment with specialist partners. They review energy use, how the operation runs, and the conditions on site, and they set the baseline.
Design by EPC partners
Our EPC partners develop a tailored BESS/PV system design, coordinated by GoSí.
Modular Installation by EPC Partners
EPC partners install the system in phases, with checks at each stage. GoSí coordinates the work from feasibility to delivery.
Connection and tuning
EPC partners connect the new plant to the power equipment already on site and tune it from operating data. GoSí coordinates that handover.
Through the project, GoSí stays in contact with the site team so the work is clear and the operation is interrupted as little as possible. A duration is not stated here, because it depends on the site and on the EPC partner's programme.

FAQ
Questions we hear
What is a typical payback period?
The savings model, with its default diesel case of 2,000 litres a day at 1.10 USD per litre, puts payback at about 3.5 to 5.4 years. That is the same range shown in Economics and in the example above. Enter your own fuel price and load in the savings model.
How many battery hours does a mine need?
The battery is sized to the hours the site must cover after the sun drops. The work model starts at 12 hours of night cover. Battery capacity, in kWh, is the average load times those hours, divided by 0.9 for the usable fraction of the battery.
Own the plant, or take a PPA?
Own and operate: the client buys and owns the system. Land + PPA: the client provides the land, EPC partners design, build and install the plant, and the client buys the power under a power purchase agreement. GoSí coordinates either path.
